The Virtualdub Motion filter was designed to allow pans, zooms, and rotations to be applied to a video. This filter was written as a superior replacement for the horrible motion effect in Adobe Premiere.
On of the best features of the filter in my opinion is that pans can be done with sub-pixel accuracy due to the Virtualdub resize kernels, allowing silky-smooth pans. I think this is an extremely useful filter and I would like to have this filter hosted on neuron2.net.
IMPORTANT: Do not change the frame dimensions while the preview window is active;
this will result in a incorrect preview and may crash VirtualDub.

This filter uses the zlib library to compress the data generated by VirtualDub’s library to save memory, allowing this filter to be run with a smaller memory footprint.
The filter can be run in one of three modes, depending on the change that you want to make:
– one-time: change a frame’s width/height, play the video at that width/height, play it back and it will return to the original width/height.
– pan: change the width/height of the input video while the preview window is active, resulting in the video being played back smaller than the input video.
– zoom: change the input width/height while the preview window is active, resulting in the video being played back bigger than the input video.

VirtualDub motion filer is a video filter for VirtualDub v1.4.12 and above. This filter allows you to
use the Video Player toolbar to
– select a range of frames to apply,
– scale the range of frames,
– change the current frame,
– apply rotations and zooms, and
– apply pans and zooms.

VirtualDub.path/filters/motionFilters

How To Install And Use Motion Filter In VirtualDub:

Run VirtualDub.exe with the /filter parameter, the filter and
its characteristics must be in the folder named “filters” inside
the virtualdub installation folder.
Use the Video Player toolbar to choose the range of frames that will be
scaled, changed, rotated, zoomed, or panned. Use the Frame
Mouse position and the F-keys to change the current frame.
Scaling should be avoided during a Motion Filter effect as the
output may become distorted or pixelated; when scaling is used
the virtualdub motion filter should only be applied to static media.
Note: The filter does not support v1.3 or below (except for the 3×2 resize).

The filter works like an editor, and allows the user to zoom/pans/rotate/play audio all from the main editor interface. In addition to setting the video frame dimensions, the filters features are:

and save the new dimensions in the file
